During the month of August, we have made even more improvements to the marketplace in Palats, both for buyers and sellers.
Condition of listings
We have changed how listings work so that all items in a listing always have the same condition according to our condition scale. With this change, it becomes much easier to find what you’re looking for, and you can now see the condition of the items directly in the listing overview. Since all items have the same condition, you no longer need to choose which item you want to buy; the system will automatically select the number of items you want and reserve them with the seller.
New look for the listing page
We have redesigned the listing page to make it easier to find the information that is relevant when making a purchase. For example, relevant condition images are now displayed in the image gallery along with descriptions of any damages. You can also see which delivery options are available before you add an item to your cart.
If there are multiple identical listings but with different conditions, you can easily switch between the different conditions—and as a seller, you can set different prices for the different conditions.
Automatic pricing based on category
It’s not always easy to know what price to set for a listing, and this step often slows down the reuse process. Therefore, it is now possible at the organizational level to set standard prices for a specific category. You can also set discount levels based on condition. For example, a meeting chair in good condition might be sold for 200 SEK, while a chair in poor condition might be sold for 50 SEK.
If you are not satisfied with the standard price, you can always adjust the price when creating the listing.
Easier order management
We have redesigned the process for retrieving items after you have placed your order. This process works differently depending on whether it is the buyer who picks up the items or if the order is handled by an administrator. Regardless of who manages the order, it is now easier than ever to check off the items, either visually or by scanning QR codes.
